Adult Dance Fitness

Zumba

Join the party! Zumba is an energetic, fun, Latin inspired fitness class combining all the rhythms in Latin music for a total workout. Its our most intense dance fitness class, but that doesn’t mean its missing any of the giggles that our other classes bring!

Fitsteps

Fitness – Strictly style! Combine the graceful steps of the Ballroom with the Up Tempo steps from the Latin dances for an all over body workout. Everyone loves just how ‘dancey’ this one feels with everything from cha cha to quickstep. And the best bit? You don’t need ANY experience, or even a dance partner!

StrollFit

Over 50’s gentle fitness class to get those steps in. Dance to music from the 50’s and 60’s and meet new friends along the way. A great way to keep active and such a social way to do it! Easy, fun, and extra laughs when you end up facing the wrong way! This is a zero impact, relaxed and enjoyable way to get a little exercise into your day.

Ella

Dance Teacher
Ella started dancing from a young age at Drapers, and competed in Ballroom and Latin American before being drawn to freestyle and street. Having a real family connection to the school as we have taught her parents and all her siblings, it’s just meant to be that she’s our head of freestyle nowadays! But don’t be deceived, she’ll be just as quick to fix your cha cha – and definitely one of our all rounders.

Scott

Manager
Respected and renowned in the world of Ballroom, Scott has a knack of putting people at ease with his friendly approach. He understands the need to alter his teaching approach for different ability levels, and enjoys taking a beginner class just as much as coaching high level competitive dancers. Laughter is a common sound to come from his classes, but it’s not all fun and games – Scott’s methodical approach ensures his pupils get through all the steps.

Olivia

Dance Teacher
Olivia started dancing at Drapers as a very cute three year old. Years later with many championship titles under her belt she returns as teacher and ballroom specialist. You may have seen her on Netflix hit show Baby Ballroom, which was partly filmed at our dance centre many moons ago. Olivia is friendly, approachable and a total hit here with kids and adults alike.

Siobhan

Dance Teacher
Siobhan danced at Drapers from a young age and qualified as a dance teacher whilst still in her teens. After a break and becoming and mum, Siobhan rejoined the team in 2014. Well liked amongst pupils over all three of our sites, it is often said she can be heard calling out the steps from one venue to another! Always smiling, she’ll work her magic and make sure you have a great time.

Alysia

Dance Teacher
Alysia has danced all her life and still actively trains and competes with dance partner Vaclav. Starting at Drapers Dance at a young age Alysia had been a part of the school for many years, until she headed off to Uni to follow her talented brains (she’s our little brainbox) as well as her talented feet (dancing for and now running the University Dancesport Team). Alysia came back to Drapers after a return to Yorkshire a few years ago, and now teaches with us full time.
